A high school student who wants to attend college must make some important decisions
during the four years of high school.  With the vast amount of information available it can be intimidating to know how to prepare for this next step, which colleges to consider, and then to
complete a successful application.  College Bound Advising can help the family through this process.   

Freshman Year:
Meeting to discuss a four year plan to maximize the academic preparation for college (individual) 
approximately 1-1/2 hours
Group meeting (parents or students) for “Well Started is Half Done”- 6 to 8 students $100. per session. Introductory parent meeting is free of charge.

Sophomore Year:
Assessment of progress and discussion of continued academic progress
Develop student interests (extra curricular, summer, community service)
approximately 1 hour
Standardized Tests (this is not actual test preparation):
How to prepare, sign up, options
approximately 1 hour

Junior Year:
Assess academic progress (tailor to college plan)
approximately 1-1/2 hours
Begin college search which can include determining types of setting, geographical preferences,  specific fields of study
approximately 1-2 hours
Prepare for college tours: how to get the most out of the tour, preparing for interviews
approximately 1 hour

Senior Year:
Narrow College Search (choose colleges for application)
approximately 2 hours

Essay Preparation: tools, editing
variable: per hour
Application Processing: assisting to facilitation
variable: per hour

Charge is $35.00 per hour.  The suggested time is approximate.  It reflects a minimum amount of time.  Depending on the individual, cost could be higher.  Research time is additional at the same rate.
