Classes taken during high school fulfill high school graduation requirements as well as requirements for entrance to college. It is important to look carefully at the course offerings to be sure that the classes you are taking fulfill the requirements you need.

UC (fulfills requirements for admission to University of California campuses- and most private colleges)
CSU (fulfills requirements for admission to California State Universities- and most private colleges)

Note: not all courses listed are offered every year.

Mendocino High School and Community High School

College of the Redwoods

The classes you are interested in will be listed on the Mendocino Coast campus.

In order to take classes at College of the Redwoods you must do the following:

1. Complete an application form: available at the Enrollment Services window or on-line. A student ID number will be issued after your application has been processed.
2. Take the English and Math Assessments before you can register for classes. Assessment results help determine which courses are appropriate for your skill level. Sign up sheets are available at the Enrollment Services window. You must have a student ID number before taking Assessments. This only needs to be taken once.
3. See an advisor in the College advising office. You cannot register for classes until you have been cleared by Advising.
4. As a high school student there is a form in the high school office that grants you permission to take CR classes that must be signed by the high school and your parent if you are under 18.

Once you have taken a CR class you do not have to repeat many of these steps, as you will have a student ID number that can be used to register for future classes.
